This blend pairs two peptides whose research literatures both concern tissue repair, but which act through unrelated mechanisms - which is the rationale usually given for combining them.

BPC-157 is a 15-amino-acid peptide derived from a protein in human gastric juice, studied preclinically for effects on angiogenesis and cytoprotection via the VEGFR2-Akt-eNOS and nitric oxide pathways.

TB-500 is a synthetic 7-amino-acid fragment (Ac-LKKTETQ-NH2) reproducing the actin-binding motif of thymosin beta-4. It is studied for G-actin sequestration and the cell migration and cytoskeletal remodelling that follow from it.

In short: the research describes BPC-157 as acting on the vascular and signalling side of repair, and TB-500 on the cellular movement side. It should be said clearly that the combination itself has not been studied in controlled human trials - the synergy described for it is inferred from the separate mechanisms rather than demonstrated.

Neither component holds marketing authorisation. Both are on the FDA's 503A Category 2 list and both appear on the WADA Prohibited List. Supplied in a 3 mL pre-filled pen at 5 mg/mL combined (15 mg total peptide).
